Aston Martin DBR9 

 

The Aston Martin DBR9 is a GT1 sports car designed and developed by Aston Martin Racing, a partnership between Prodrive and Aston Martin.

The DBR9 is based on the DB9 road car and uses the road car's bonded aluminium chassis as well as its V12 engine's cylinder block and heads. The remainder of the car has been purpose-designed and built for competition by Prodrive.

Transmission 
Xtrac, six-speed sequential transmission longitudinally mounted at the rear axle. Four plate carbon clutch. 

Structure
Race-developed DB9 aluminium chassis with high strength steel roll-cage. Body panels in carbon fibre composite excluding the aluminium roof.  

Suspension
Double wishbone suspension front and rear with adjustable Koni dampers and Eibach springs.

Brakes
Front and rear: Six-pot calipers with 330 mm diameter carbon discs.

Wheels
Front and rear:  Forged magnesium 18"..
