In only the second year of the partnership the Gulf sponsored Aston Martin Racing team won the team and driver titles in the 2009 European Le Mans Series
2008
In the first yeqar of the Gulf and Aston Martin Racing partnership the team drove to victory in the 24hrs Le Mans in the GT1 Category. This was the first of many years of success and provided the platform for the step-up to the top LMP1 category
