At the beginning of 2009 Aston Martin Racing was proud to announce an extension of the sponsorship with Gulf to cover a new LMP1 car that would race in the Le Mans and Le Mans Series for the 2009 season. The car was not a completely new project for the Aston Martin Racing team as they had run a private LMP1 car in the 2008 Le Mans and so some research had already taken place. |
