GULF'S DRIVE FOR GLORY IN RUSSIA

The Rally-Cross Championship of Russia is one of the most popular racing competitions in the country. Only Russian made vehicles compete in the series and these are divided into two classes: ZIL 43140 trucks and UAZ 3151 4x4s.

The championship has been going for more than 20 years and for 2009 Gulf's official lubricants Distributors in the region, European Oil Company LLC (EOC), are sponsoring the Russian Federation Ministry of Defense Team and its driver, Peter Drofichev (pictured).

Drofichev has been one of the leading Russian drivers for seven years, winning the UAZ class overall in 2007 as well as being the Russian Armed Forces Cup winner in 2003.

The championship covers the majority of the Russian Federation and offers huge opportunities for regional distributors to promote and advertise the brand locally. EOC are hoping for more success from Drofichev to help grow the Gulf brand in the Russian market.
