Gulf successfully protects the brand in Estonia

Gulf court battle in Estonia comes to an end. Another victory for Gulf as we continue to protect our world famous trademark.

Following on from the Convention in Madrid we thought that you may like to know that on the 26th March another judgement was given in Estonia in favour of Gulf confirming Gulf's rights to insist that its registered trademark rights relating to the brand be respected. We believe this will be the final judgement in the Estonian saga that has lasted over four years. The courts have now formally confirmed that the word and logo of Gulf must be removed from the name of the company claiming to be Gulf Oil Estonia, the signs outside its premises, its letter heads and business cards, vehicles, websites with Gulf logo be closed etc. GOI felt it very important to demonstrate to the world that it will not tolerate unauthorised and illegal use of the Gulf brand wherever such actions may occur.
