A well-known strength of the Gulf product range is the comprehensive set of engine oils for commercial road transport customers all over the world.
Gulf has recently revised the engine and transmission oil product range, and can now offer to you an oil for virtually every truck, bus or other heavy-duty road vehicle on the road today. Many of these oils have been presented to, and formally approved by, leading engine manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz, MAN, MTU, Cummins, Detroit Diesel and Mack. There are fuel-efficient engine oils, synthetic oils, multi- and mono-grade lubricants. There is a performance level to meet your needs too, from the most recent specifications which are geared to meeting the latest and strictest emission standards, down to robust, heavy duty products for older engines and those operating in the toughest conditions found in the more remote parts of the world.
The engine oil range is complemented by a set of transmission fluids, both for automatic gearboxes as well as the traditional synchromesh and differential final drive gear systems. Once again, many of these products are formally approved by vehicle and gear train manufacturers, and the performance levels range from the latest and highest level specification to tough oils ideal for use in older machines.
Many Gulf products are officially registered by the American Petrolem Institue (API). A list of these, with the corresponding service levels (e.g. API CI-4), can be consulted on the API website.
Finally, Gulf Dieselmotive oils comprise a range of zinc-free lubricants for the modern high-speed dieselengine designs used in most of the world's railroads.
