Gulf itself has first-hand experience of quarrying, tunnelling and large earth moving operations through its own mining contract services company.

This has facilitated Gulf Oil to assemble a range of lubricants and other fluids ideal, both technically and commercially, for use in construction and off-highway equipment, such as mechanical excavators, cranes and heavy trucks. These machines often operate is very arduous conditions, with exposure to heat, dirt and water, which only the most robust lubricants and greases can withstand. The Gulf products have been thoroughly tested in this equipment and are offered to you with our fullest confidence.

There are engine oils, some with high additive content to handle the corrosive by-products from the combustion of poor quality fuels as well as transmission oils and greases.

Additionally, Gulf offers some products ideally suited to this harsh working environment. Products such as Gulf Rock Drill Oil, for pneumatic tools, and greases/open gear lubricants for wire ropes, gear trains and open bearings on heavy machinery and hoists.

Finally, most modern construction involves concrete. Gulf has a range of mould release compounds for application when pouring concrete. These facilitate the removal of steel and wooden mould panels without damage to the concrete surface.

Gulf Super Diesel Plus	A cost-effective multi-grade diesel engine oil meeting the very popular API Cf-4 specification level.
Gulf Super Duty range	Tough, robust and reliable: the Super Duty oils all meet API CF performance level. There is even an oil for use with high sulphur diesel fuels.
Gulf XHD range	Gulf XHD and XHD Plus are durable heavy duty diesel engine oils for older vehicles
Gulf Gear Oil Range	Gulf Gear products are used in manual synchromesh gearboxes, final drives, including hypoid differential drives, and there are even products for the total driveline. Key OEM approvals have been obtained on members of this very reliable product group.
Gulf Automatic Transmission Fluids;	One oil only is often preferred by the operators of many off-highway machines, and Gulf has such multi-functional products suitable for use in transmissions, hydraulic brakes and well as engines. Gulf HT Fluid C4 and HT Fluid TO-2 are two excellent performers for transmissions and can also be used in most engines.
Gulf Rock Drill Oil	A wide variety of air-driven tools are found in construction, and this product is specially designed to lubricate these drills, breakers, and other such machinery
Gulf Harmony and Compressor Oils	Many construction sites require power, in the form of electricity or compressed air and even high pressure fluid. Gulf Harmony is a well-known high quality hydraulic oil and Gulf Compressor oil is ideal for most air compressors used in construction.
Gulflex A and Gulflex Moly	Two great greases suitable for the arduous conditions on a construction site or mine. Gulflex Moly has a high content of the well-known solid phase lubricant, molybdenum disulphide, and is excellent for situations where there is shock-loading on the bearing or joint.
Gulf Mould Oil	Used to coat the surfaces of steel and wooden moulds when pouring concrete. Prevents damage to the concrete surface when the shuttering is removed and is light coloured to minimise staining.
